In the comprehensive hotel rating drawn up by the Swiss business magazine Bilanz published on 2 July 2010, the author Claus Schweitzer ranked the Carlton Hotel 16th among the best holiday hotels in Switzerland. The modern grand hotel climbed 11 places in comparison to 2009.

16TH PLACE IN THE TOP 25 HIDEAWAYS 2009
In its March 2010 edition, the travel magazine HIDEAWAYS once again published the “Top 25 Hideaways” of the previous year. The Carlton Hotel in St. Moritz scored 79.1 points out of a possible total of 100, taking 16th place on the list of the top 25 hotels chosen by discerning travellers from Germany and throughout Europe. The ranking was based on location, architecture, design, the comfort of the rooms and suites, the cooking and, of course, the service.

In the Spa Guide 2009 published by the British lifestyle magazine “Tatler”, the Carlton Hotel in St. Moritz with its unique spa was included on the list of the 101 most attractive spas in the world.

In March 2009, the readers of the German travel magazine HIDEAWAYS chose their “Hideaways of the Year” for the twelfth time. The Carlton Hotel St. Moritz was listed among the top 25 hotels worldwide as chosen by the discerning travellers.

GaultMillau guide 2009
In the GaultMillau Guide 2009, the Carlton Hotel St. Moritz received its first appraisal since the completion of its comprehensive renovation work. According to the authors of the gourmet guide, the kitchen team under the direction of Alexander Kroll had “already reached a remarkable level in the first few weeks”. The Tschinè is considered a “lively, trendy restaurant” where the head chef “enjoys playing with Asian influences” while showing “the same enthusiasm for regional products”. The restaurant was awarded 14 points.

Leading Spa
Only 105 spas worldwide currently hold the coveted “Leading Spa” seal of approval awarded by the international Leading Hotels of the World group, which currently has a membership of more than 450 luxury hotels worldwide. In January 2009, the Carlton Spa in the five-star hotel of the same name became the first spa in St. Moritz to join this select circle of heavenly relaxation destinations.

In the 2008 edition of the great hotel rating published by the Swiss newspaper SonntagsZeitung, the Carlton Hotel St. Moritz received its first appraisal since the completion of its comprehensive renovation work, going straight in 12th place in the list of best holiday hotels in Switzerland. According to the SonntagsZeitung, the refurbished hotel lived up to its high expectations.

Senses Wellness Award
Eleven thrilling weeks after its glittering reopening in December 2007, the Carlton received its first award: on the occasion of the Internationalen Tourismus Börse (ITB) held in Berlin in March 2008, the five-star hotel was honoured with the Senses Wellness Award in the category “Best Spa in a Boutique Hotel”.
